Folding drum is widely used and plays an increasingly important role, so the correct use of folding drum is very important to prevent accidents such as equipment damage. The following are some technical requirements for the use of folding drum:
(1) The flange of the folding drum shall be kept perpendicular to the wall of the drum under all conditions, even under load.
(2) In order to avoid the "hopping" or "deviating" phenomenon of the wire rope, the wire rope must maintain sufficient tension so that the wire rope can always be close to the surface of the rope groove. When this condition is not met, the wire rope press roller should be added.
(3) The rope declination Angle should be maintained within 0.25° ~ 1.25°, not more than 1.5°, if this condition can not be met, it is necessary to use the wire rope declination compensator to correct, or increase the design of the fold line drum rope.
(4) When the wire rope released from the folding drum is wrapped around the crane pulley, the width of the fixed pulley must be aligned with the flange of the drum.
(5) The rope shall maintain its unlooseness and round shape, even under rated load.
(6) The rope shall be resistant to rotation.
